Our Client is highly -regarded International Law Firm and they are looking for an experienced non-contentious Construction Associate. Ideally their experience will have been gained at a leading City or US firm. It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent) with excellent written communication and drafting skills.
The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. The ideal candidate will have ten years post qualification experience (or equivalent experience). Nuclear experience would be advantageous.
The team advises on procurement of domestic and international construction and engineering projects. They also advise on suitable procurement routes, risk allocation and drafting and negotiation of contract documentation, including construction and engineering contracts, consultants’ appointment and ancillary documentation such as bonds, guarantees and warranties. The practice has worked on projects acting for developers, funders, contractors and service providers in a range of sectors including mining, renewable and conventional energy, process plant, defence, transport and other social and economic infrastructure.
Understanding of legal principles of own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas
